These terms describe what we agree to do for you when you use Keystona, and what we ask of you in return. They apply to everyone who creates an account, uses the platform, or signs up for a paid plan.
1. The agreement
By creating a Keystona account or using the platform, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you're using Keystona on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these terms.
2. Your account
You're responsible for keeping your account credentials secure, for the activity that happens under your account, and for ensuring that the people who use the platform on your behalf comply with these terms. Notify us promptly at security@keystona.io if you believe your account has been compromised.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the platform to violate any law or third-party right.
- Reverse engineer, scrape, or attempt to bypass our security controls.
- Use the platform to send unsolicited communications.
- Upload malicious software, content that infringes intellectual property, or material that violates the privacy or dignity of others.
- Exceed published rate limits or otherwise interfere with the operation of the platform.
4. Billing and subscriptions
Paid plans bill in advance on the cycle you choose (monthly or annual). Prices are listed on the pricing page and in your account billing settings.
- Per-person plans bill for active users on your account at the start of each cycle.
- Upgrades take effect immediately, with prorated billing for the remainder of the cycle.
- Downgrades take effect at the end of the current cycle.
- Failed payments may result in suspension of access; we'll notify you before this happens.
5. Trial
Trial accounts have full access for 30 days, no payment required. At the end of the trial, your account becomes read-only until you subscribe.
6. Cancellation
You can cancel at any time from your billing settings. Access continues until the end of your current cycle. We don't refund prepaid periods, but you keep full access until that period ends.
7. Your data
You retain all rights to the data you put into Keystona. You grant us a limited license to process that data solely for the purpose of providing the service. We don't use your operational data to train models, sell to third parties, or repurpose for marketing.
8. Confidentiality
Each party agrees to protect the other's confidential information with the same care it uses for its own confidential information. This obligation continues after the agreement ends.
9. Service availability
We aim for high availability and publish status at our status page. We don't guarantee uninterrupted service except where committed in a written agreement (Enterprise customers receive an SLA).
10. Warranties and limitations
Keystona is provided "as is" except where a written warranty applies. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the fees you've paid in the twelve months preceding the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, gross negligence, or wilful misconduct.
11. Termination
Either party can terminate by notice. We may terminate immediately if you materially breach these terms or violate the acceptable use policy. On termination, you'll have a reasonable period to export your data.
12. Changes
We may update these terms over time. If a change is material, we'll notify you by email and in-product at least 30 days before it takes effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where Keystona is incorporated, without regard to conflict of law principles. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction.
